Now Offering Insurance Covered Lactation Consults

Aimee Lactation Consulting has partnered with The Lactation Network and Zaya Care to provide Health Insurance Covered Lactation Consults. If you have one of the listed commercial health insurance plans, click the appropriate button to verify your coverage. They will handle the paperwork and bill your health insurance company directly. You will also need to schedule your consult with me by clicking the “Book Now” button or contacting me directly.

If your health insurance plan is not included here, I will accept payment at the time of your visit. After your visit, I will issue you a receipt (superbill), which includes the appropriate billing codes, that you may use to seek reimbursement from your insurance company. I accept HSA/FSA cards, credit/debit cards, check, or cash.

*Payment and Health Insurance Information

Health Insurance Covered

Not all health insurance companies are included, but more are being added. If your insurance company is not included, you may still be able to get your visit covered by your health insurance company. You will self-pay at the time of the visit and then we will provide you with a receipt (superbill) that you may use to seek reimbursement from your insurance company. In this case, we do not bill insurance directly for you, as we would be considered an out-of-network provider. If reimbursement is important to you for a self-pay consult, you may wish to contact your insurance company before our visit to see if they have any specific requirements for you to become reimbursed for an out-of-network IBCLC home or virtual consult. Information about the legal requirements for health insurance companies to cover lactation support services can be found here: Breastfeeding and Healthcare Law . If you have difficulty getting reimbursed, the National Women’s Law Center has provided this toolkit to help you: NWLC Toolkit

Self-Pay

When you book your visit with our secure online platform, you will be required to enter your credit card or HSA (Health Spending Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) card information. This won’t be charged until your visit is complete. If you wish to pay with cash or check at your visit, your card will not be charged. The HIPPA compliant payment service, Square, is used to process your card payments.

Cancelation Policy for all Clients

If you cancel your visit within 24 hours of when it is scheduled, you may be charged a $35 cancelation fee. If you reschedule your visit instead, at least 12 hours before it is originally scheduled, the cancellation fee will be waived.
