Aimee Lactation Consulting

Aimee Lactation Consulting was born out of a passion for filling a need in our community.  Aimee has recognized the difficulty that new mothers can have with breastfeeding after they leave the hospital and especially the lack of in-home lactation care available in our region.  She is excited to be able to provide this vital service to the families of Warren, Washington, and Saratoga Counties, and beyond!

Aimee Woodhouse, RN, IBCLC

International Board Certified Lactation Consultant

Aimee has been helping new mothers successfully breastfeed their babies since she had her own first baby, over 21 years ago.  She has been a Registered Nurse since 1998 and began working in the hospital setting as a maternal newborn and nursery nurse in 2006. Aimee spent countless hours in that position, assisting new mothers in overcoming breastfeeding hurdles.  She developed a strong passion for offering moms evidence-based education regarding breastfeeding.  It was there that she realized the deficit of support that new mothers receive during their breastfeeding journey and began to pursue formal education towards becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), the highest designation available for Lactation Consultants.  She was excited to achieve this in 2012 and was the only RN, IBCLC at her hospital for the next 4 years.  After this position, Aimee began employment at the Glens Falls Hospital Snuggery, as a part-time Lactation Consultant, and continues to be employed there, where she loves serving her community.

Aimee lives in Queensbury, NY with her husband and three children. Among the many joys of raising her children, she was blessed to successfully breastfeed all three.  Aimee enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, enjoying the great outdoors, reading, and snuggling with her Australian Cattle Dog, Lucas.
